Changes to discount field on the online ordering portal:

We have recently made some changes and improvements to our online portal. Part of this work behind the scenes has meant deprecating some functionality. One change you may notice is that we have removed the retail discount function. This function was under utilised and prone to working incorrectly, resulting in customers being unsure on their cost price and sale price. The change we have made has removed this option meaning that the two prices (retail and cost prices) will always be consistent (retail price is 2 x cost price or 100% mark up).

Please note that existing quotes that have been created with a retail discount entered (some customers accounts were set to offer 100% retail discount, therefore showing cost price as retail price), will have this saved. To update this, you will need to edit and save your quote, which will remove the discount and show retail at 100% mark up of cost.

You can see on your quote if there is a discount applied when using the internal view:

All new quotes and existing quotes will have the discount automatically set to 0% from now on.
