7 December 2021

Hello,

When I wrote to you last about pricing, we committed to holding pricing as stable as possible for the final quarter of 2021. We have done this, but I do now need to advise you of further changes to our pricing. Since our last price review then we have been subjected to price increases on several key materials and components; We have had two separate price increases from our board supplier of 5% and then an additional 6%, with further increases not ruled out. It has been widely circulated Blum components have increased between 15-19%. Hettich has increased their prices by 9% since our last increase. We have also seen increases on almost all of our other components and an increase in fuel costs, utility overheads and personnel costs. It is clear to see that these price increases are not insignificant, and it is impossible for us to not pass some of these on in the form of a price increase.

Given the recent spate of price increases across the industry we have done our absolute best to keep our price increase to a minimum and have taken the decision to absorb some of the increases we now face.

From the 31st of January 2022, we will increase our prices by 5.7%.

We also have the following price increases from our suppliers which we need to pass on:

Blum items: 16%
Hettich Items: 9%
PWS and Kessebohmer: 9.8%
Uform: 6%

Orders placed prior to 31/01/2022 (to be delivered no later than 31/05/2022) will be ordered and supplied at the current prices. Orders placed after this date will incur the price increase. We hope that this gives you ample opportunity to close sales ahead of this deadline and place any orders prior to Christmas.

I do understand that this is another price increase in a relatively short space of time. Please understand that this is in response to price increases we are seeing and is a direct reflection of the increasing costs we are facing, rather than speculative increases.

Speaking to suppliers and leading industry experts, I hope that the market has now found a good footing and we are able to work in an extended period of stability into 2022.

Yours sincerely,

Tom Dalton
