1 May 2022

I was hoping not to write to you about pricing for some time given the surge in prices we saw towards the end of last year. Alas, in this ever-changing world we have been notified by most, if not all of our key suppliers that owing to the conflict in Ukraine then there is a need to increase prices.
Over the past month then the conflict in Ukraine has had a significant price impact on the raw material production for our industry, namely the chemicals used in the production of MFC, the price of timber and the cost of transportation. There is continued price pressure on securing sufficient raw materials to meet demand worldwide, which in turn leads to increased prices.
I am very aware that our prices have not long changed but unfortunately the scale and speed at which our input prices are increasing, means financial effects are immediate, considerable and unsustainable going forward. We cannot absorb these increases without passing some of them on.
Orders placed after the below dates will be subjected to the following increases:
PWS Items: 6.5% Increase - Effective 10/05/2022
Uform Items: 8.5% Increase - Effective 01/06/2022
System 6 Kitchens Carcases and Doors: 7% Increase - Effective 01/06/2022
For System Six Kitchens products all orders placed before the 31st of May, for delivery within 90 days will be charged at the current price. I do hope this gives you ample chance to close out all open quotes with your customers and sufficient warning to ensure the correct prices are quoted moving forwards.
Please know that as an important customer, we very much value your business and thank you for your loyalty. I hope you understand the need for these changes despite their unwelcome timing.
If you would like to discuss this matter with me any further, then please do not hesitate to contact me.
Yours Sincerely,
Tom Dalton
