SOCIAL MEDIA TIPS
Social media is often the first place people discover your brand, form an opinion and decide whether to follow, enquire, or move on. Posting on Facebook and Instagram is less about chasing trends and more about showing up with consistency, clarity and intent. With the right cadence, timing and structure, your content works harder without needing more effort.
Five tips for posting on Facebook and Instagram
1. Be consistent, not constant
You do not need to post every day. Aim for:
Instagram: 3 - 4 posts per week
Facebook: 2 - 3 posts per week
This keeps your brand visible without overwhelming your audience or your team.
2. Lead with value, not selling
Educational posts, behind-the-scenes content, tips, transformations, and process-led stories build trust. If every post sells, people tune out. If every post helps, selling becomes easier.
3. Keep captions clear and scannable
Attention is short. Use:
A strong first line
Short paragraphs
Natural breaks
Write how people read, quickly and on a phone.
4. Use the right number of hashtags
More is not better.
Instagram: 3 - 5 relevant hashtags
Facebook: 0 - 2 hashtags or none at all
Focus on specific, meaningful hashtags rather than broad or generic ones.
5. Post at the right time and invite interaction
Best general posting times:
Weekdays: 7–9am or 6–8pm
Weekends: 9–11am
These windows catch people before work, after work, or during slower weekend scrolls. Pair posts with a simple question or prompt to encourage comments, saves, or shares, all of which boost reach
