With the continued supply issues of appliances putting a strain across all of our businesses, we wanted to remind all customers that when installing appliances into an Aluma kitchen that the appliance must be able to adjust to below 818mm in height.
With dishwashers in particular being in short supply, some XL models may become available and be offered as alternatives. These models, which are higher than standard models, are not suitable for true handleless kitchens.
INTEGRATED DISHWASHER INSTALLATION
The top rail profile can be used when fitting a dishwasher to base units. The plinth must be set at 155mm high to allow clearance.
We recommend you use a dishwasher with a height less than 818mm so that it fits underneath the rail.
Fix the metal brackets supplied with your dishwasher to the outer face of adjacent cabinets. An additional bracing baton may be used to the rear of the machine to reduce movement.
When using a base unit mid-rail next to an under-mounted appliance, always use an end cap.
This information can be found in the Kitchen Installation Guide on page 10, available on the Info Hub under Installation Guides.
